Eckhart Tolle, Podcast

Raven C. Waters

Oprah's Supersoul Conversations | 12 Jul 2019 Podcast

For dream/reality, there's a consciousness shaping it

Change is constant, everything is subject to change

Everything flows

"I am consciousness"

Realize what it means : "I am"

Sit down in meditation& ask who am I?

\ No conceptual answer

\ Experience yourself as the canvas : the space in between two thoughts

Formless You:

Deeper dimensions, knowing yourself as the essential "I am"

\ To be still

\ Look at someone without imposing conceptual thoughts

Once you know your true identity in the background of your daily life, then you can deal with the foreground of your life

\ Demand (no) of [noun] in foreground

\ This is lasting happiness

Tolle is a New York Times best-selling author and spiritual thought leader.

In this episode he "explains the awakening of consciousness by taking on one of Oprah's signature questions: What do you know for sure? "I know for sure that I'm sitting on a chair," Eckhart says. "That's the most surface level of things. I know for sure that this is a table." His answer is simple enough, but Eckhart delves further. Even these seemingly simple truths are not concrete, he says. Eckhart goes so far as to say that we can't know for sure that life is not a dream, a question that has been posed by many philosophers. Eckhart explains the importance of becoming more present in our daily lives and why the ability to become still is essential."
