"Suburban couple Paula and Audrey decide to have themselves shrunk to tiny size and relocated to a miniature city where they can live in upscale luxury."
In Reflection..
Definitively an odd movie ...
It couldn't keep my full attention for the full two hours, but from what I gathered - smaller living arrangements equated to a lessened carbon footprint that is necessary for a viable future; however, the world is set to end early anyway within the theme of global warming - so the takeaway is to help your community regardless .... maybe lol idek tbh
Matt Damon (Paul) enters into the miniature city alone, after his wife decides not to go through with the shrinking process. As a result, the movie solely focuses on him and his journey over the next few years - largely uneventful until he ventures into a humanitarian work with Hong Chau (Ngoc Lan Tran).
Overall, my familiarity with Honey, I Shrunk the Kids was what caught my interest, as I love to see how new concepts are expressed - such as the whole shrinking process, the small communities, how they acknowledge outside influences such as butterflies or mosquitos. Which was achieved within the first 45 minutes ... the rest of it was quirky and odd.
